Forging Our Own Path

Our next project is a big one. We have many challenges ahead of us, and the first one is world generation. Turns out it’s not easy. It’s a…fairly well researched topic, but every game has special demands, so you can only get so much from others. We’ve designed an algorithm that will create results that have similarities to other games, but enough differences to give our world a unique feel. ¶ We are going to try combining the concepts of Spelunky with other methods such as those used in Galak-Z (which you can hear more about in this talk).
